Ashton, Maryland (November 18, 2004)-Quinto®,
a new board and card game, received the National Parenting
Center's 2004 Seal of Approval (see
www.tnpc.com).
The National Parenting Center stated in its review that they
were intrigued with the familiarity of the board and that
they were totally immersed in the game. Because Quinto®contains
so many familiar elements found in games like Scrabble, Go,
Othello, Rummy, or even Poker, Quinto®appeals
to many different backgrounds and age groups.
The National Parenting Center also stated that the rules
were simple and easy to understand. There are other variations
to add even more spice to the game. The Center concluded,
"For family game nights, Quinto is a terrific game to
pull out of your game closet."
Quinto®has its roots in an ancient
Roman board game called "Calculi" or "Five
in a Row." With the addition of playing cards, a scoring
system, and chips to replace the old Roman stones, Quinto
Game Company has added a modern touch to this ancient game
but has preserved the strategy and enjoyment. Quinto®can
be played one on one or in teams. Players use playing cards
to capture strategic positions on the Quinto®game
board and obtain points. The first player or team to reach
500 points wins! Quinto®has various
levels of depth and strategy. It is simple to learn but challenging
to master.
The National Parenting Center (TNPC) was founded in 1989
with the goal of providing comprehensive and responsible parenting
advice to parents. The advice provided is furnished by some
of the world's most respected authorities in the field of
child rearing and development. The National Parenting Center's
Seal of Approval program identifies the finest products and
services being marketed to the parent/child audience. From
educational and entertainment products and equipment to travel
destinations, the consumer oriented testing process solicits
evaluations from parents and their children. This award signifies
to other parents that their peers have acknowledged a product's
quality and desirability based on a wide variety of determining
factors.
Quinto®is sold through various
toy and game retail outlets as well as the Quinto®website.
Each Quinto® game includes a Quinto®playing
board, playing cards, color chips, scorecards, and warranty.
